You may or may not be aware that Patreon has introduced a new kind of post that, currently, only appears on the mobile app.
They’re called “Quips” and are intended for rather shorter posts than normal, such as drawing attention to stuff from the archives that new members or visiting browsers may never have seen. They’re also useful for short news pieces.
I just posted my first Quip, congratulating Dr Alexander Burns on winning the Chapple Prize for his Infantry In Battle 1733-1783, and you may recall that we discussed this marvellous work in Battlechat 118.
I’ll be using Quips for occasional extras to my normal schedule, and other content will remain unaffected.
If you never use the mobile app, you’ll remain blissfully unaware of this additional content and unbothered by the inevitable notifications!
