Brilliant Book Wins History Award!

I’ve just seen the news that Dr Alexander Burns has been awarded the Chapple Prize (formerly the Best First Book Prize) by the Society for Army Historical Research, for his superb book “Infantry in Battle 1733-1783”. I loved the book and it made me reassess my own views on certain aspects of warfare in the Age of Reason.

Many congratulations to Alex and if you haven’t done so already, I thoroughly recommend you read the book!
