Introducing Time Scale

This reel addresses the subject of time scale in our wargames, and some of the aspects to consider when deciding the length of time our turns represent.

  1. Time scale is a difficult one.well drilled infantry in line will march at 60 paces per minute.
    Also they could fire 3 to 5 rounds per rounds per minute.
    Each. A being supplied with 60 cartridges at the beginning of the day if an engagement was imminent. (Assuming they were in supply).
    But from experience if a move or bound was 60 seconds and the battle started after morning “Tea Break” say 11-00AM then the battle would be over before lunch break.
    Of course our regiments and brigades respond much more quickly to orders then the reality shows us.
