David Christopher Lee is a patron, a teacher of English in Japan – wait till you hear exactly where – and, of course a wargamer, flying the flag for the hobby in a distant land.
Born and raised in Kent, on the hallowed ground where the late Charles Grant measured just how far Prussian infantry could have marched in the space of one of his minute-long moves, David held a varied and interesting, even entertaining, series of jobs before settling on making some serious academic achievements and then heading out for pastures both new and very, very distant.
David has broad gaming interests, covering fantasy, sci-fi, historical gaming and boardgames, and as well as running an occasional club where mostly ex-pats get together and have a good time, he also plays a lot of solo games and brings an interesting perspective on that. And, from my perspective, most exciting of all is that he’s an imagi-nations gamer who plays his games in three different scales!
I found David’s story fascinating, bringing as it does a perspective from the other side of the world, and we chat about his life in Japan as well as his gaming. Enjoy!
