Mark Freeth is the owner and host of the popular Wargames Holiday Centre near Basingstoke in the UK and has taken over that mantle from the man who started it originally, the legendary Peter Gilder, who then passed it on to Mike Ingham who sadly passed away back in 2010.
But Mark has taken the centre from strength to strength and has hosted hundreds of events in the near decade that he has held the reins, amassing a huge amount of experience in organising big, multi-player wargames in several scales and many different periods and genres. The collections at his disposal are truly awesome!

Mark and I first met when I was running magazines and he offered to help out with photos of big games in progress, but we became more closely associated when we jointly rose to the challenge or organising the annual Don Featherstone Tribute Weekends that have been such a great success and have raised thousands of pounds for the Combat Stress veterans’ charity.
So, join Mark and me for a couple of hours of insight into what it’s like running the Wargames Holiday Centre and hear the passion with which Mark brings wargamers together and gives them the opportunity to play the games they have dreamt about with thousands of beautiful model soldiers.
