Time scale is a difficult one.well drilled infantry in line will march at 60 paces per minute.
Also they could fire 3 to 5 rounds per rounds per minute.
Each. A being supplied with 60 cartridges at the beginning of the day if an engagement was imminent. (Assuming they were in supply).
But from experience if a move or bound was 60 seconds and the battle started after morning “Tea Break” say 11-00AM then the battle would be over before lunch break.
Of course our regiments and brigades respond much more quickly to orders then the reality shows us.
Precisely as I said, rules writers have to make some tricky decisions about time scales.
