If a battalion of 600 men is to be represented by 30 figures,
ie 1 figure = 20 men.
Also you have a small farm, consisting of a house, a stable, a barn, chicken coup,and a pig stye.
In Flanders, 17/18th. Century the buildings would be in a square. With walls.
You will probably. Need a brigade of our battalions to defend the it. Whereas a farm of that size could well be defended by a company of 60 men ie 3 figures showing That our small farm is taking up the space on the Wargames table of a sizeable village of between 300 to 500 buildings (1 building = 20 buildings).
The way of getting a more reasonable method is to reduce the size of the farm to 1 smaller building by calculating the width and depth of the farm by using the games grounds scale and find a compromise
