I’m delighted to welcome Simon Miller back onto the show as promised, to discuss the further development of his popular To the Strongest ruleset which has expanded from its roots in the Ancients era, through Medievals and the English Civil War, and which has now set its sights on the Horse & Musket era with the catchily-named Louis Quatorze’s Warses (NOT its final, official title!).
Our discussion wanders, as ever, around the subject of wargaming and historical research, taking occasional detours into the long grass of home cookery, walks and wargame basing, army lists, ancient galleys, the minutiae of British platoon firing and the intricacies of siege wargaming.
But overall, it’s a chance to sit back and listen to one of the most knowledgeable, hard-working and charming of men in the hobby as he describes the challenge of adapting his core rules to yet another historical era, and his predilection for amassing an ever more enormous collection of miniatures to cater for every occasion!
Enjoy the show.
Henry
