Greg is one of my patrons, an attorney by day and a gamer by night with a wide variety of gaming experience behind him, though he freely confesses that the American War of Independence is his favourite period. In fact, he loves it so much that he dresses up and re-enacts the conflict in “1800mm scale”—as a British regular!
As well as discussing his wargaming credentials, Greg reports on the GenCon show held last autumn in Indianapolis—we had intended to get him onto the show sooner to give his report, but the strange circumstances of the last few months prevented that. Never mind, it’s really interesting to hear his impressions of the show and what he enjoyed there.
Towards the end of the show, we discuss an issue that Greg raised with me, given the current conflict in Ukraine, right on the doorstep of central Europe: how do we feel playing wargames whilst a real war is going on? Food for thought, we hope.
So, sit back and enjoy meeting Greg, a highly intelligent and well-informed guest with plenty to say about his hobby.
Henry
