Annual Memberships Now Available

To established, new and potential patrons:

Following my recent poll here, I can see that there is a significant enough proportion of you who are interested in the idea of making an annual, rather than monthly commitment, to make the idea feasible.

So, following hard on the heels of announcing my ability to offer Pound Sterling and Euro as well as US Dollar subscriptions (see previous post), you can now choose to pay for Patreon on an annual basis.

It’s a great way to show your support to me, and in return you’ll get a discount of 10% – the equivalent of more than a month free – when you do. In addition to reducing transaction fees, you’ll help me create quality content faster and reduce the chance your credit card declines in the future.

I’ve decided to make the announcement now, as we’re approaching the end of the month when most of you will be charged for your monthly renewal, so it’s the ideal time to make the switch if you want to.

For existing patrons, the following steps will help you switch over your pledge to annual. 

1. Log in, hover over your profile icon in the top right corner, and select Manage Memberships

2. From your Active Memberships page click Edit next to the pledge you want to change

3. You’ll see a familiar checkout page where you can select Annual 

4. Click Update. Note: you’ll be charged upfront for the discounted price

New patrons, visit my Patreon page where you’ll see the option below the “Join” button of your chosen tier.

Let me reiterate that there is no pressure on anyone to make this change; it is simply a new option that Patreon has made available and some dozens of you have already expressed an interest in swapping monthly for annual payments. In addition, you can take advantage of that 10% discount in doing so.
