Today is a day for remembering the sacrifices made by the men and women on all sides in war, and their hope for a better future as, indeed, we hope for that ourselves.
It is also a day to remember the stark difference between our wonderful hobby and the ghastly reality of war that we are still, sadly, witnessing to this very day.
The older I get, the more I simply wish for peace and know that that is what my father, who experienced the real thing, would have wished for too.
