A free-to-all tutorial by Sean Souter is now live on the Battlegames blog at http://henrys-wargaming.co.uk/scratch-built-palm-tree-tutorial/
Many thanks to Sean for this excellent and highly detailed article, which is the first of a series of occasional guest blogs by him and others – I have a piece in hand from The Veteran Wargamer Jay Arnold which I plan to publish next week, and Mike Siggins has sent me something for consideration too.
Whilst it’s great to have these, I’m also having to keep an eye on how much work is involved in putting these together from the editorial costs point of view, because obviously they fall outside the remit of what I initially envisaged.
As mentioned in previous posts, it’s a learning process all round as we jointly feel our way into what is a relatively new content delivery medium in our hobby. The more patrons we get and the higher the total, the greater the financial ‘comfort zone’ there will be for me to spend time editing and publishing guest posts. (And an improvement in the Pound:Dollar exchange rate would really help too!)
So, I’ll be particularly keen to hear from patrons as to whether you enjoy this kind of article and your feelings about guest posts in general.
Meanwhile, I’m working on my next ‘solo’ patrons-only piece. I’d hoped to have it ready for today but life ‘stuff’ has intervened, so I’ll be uploading over the weekend.
Roll ’em high!
