The last one before the New Year, folks, making a total of about 10 hours of podcasts for you this week for your listening pleasure. Well, with the TooFatLardies team cranking out about 5 minutes a day for the last couple of weeks*, I thought I’d better demonstrate how real podcasters do it! 😆😜
Today, it was my pleasure to host podcasting buddy Jay Arnold, with whom I have developed a transatlantic friendship over the last few years. Known as @VeteranWargamer on Twitter, you can listen to his shows at https://soundcloud.com/user-989538417 but for the moment, he’s on my turf to chat about stuff that happened in 2019, stuff we plan to do in 2020 and general chitchat.
We take quite a detour into the realm of Landsknechts – Jay has a project on the go that involves these colourful characters – but we spend the longest spell discussing the question that I missed in the second Sergeants+ Q&A session from Mark Igglesden about the curse (or is it?) of the ‘game in a box’.
So enjoy this bundle of pre-festive fun and I take this opportunity to wish you all the very best of the season: health, happiness and the joys of good food, wine and all the wargaming goodies you hope for. (Including, of course, a Battlegames 2020 calendar…)
Henry
* Seriously, if you haven’t listened to the TooFatLardies’ advent calendar yet, get over there right after listening to me and Jay and ordering your Battlegames 2020 calendar.
