Like buses, you wait and then two come along in short succession! In this Battlechat, I interview Dan Faulconbridge, Editor of market-leading hobby magazine Wargames illustrated, a man who entered the hobby because of his job!
During our brief (well, brief for me…) chat, we cram in a lot about how Dan rose from humble beginnings to not just take the helm of, but actually own this popular magazine, and we look at its transformation from a purely paper-based publication into the multi-channel streaming digital offering it is today.
After covering some of the challenges faced by hobby magazines in the marketplace, we also manage to talk a little about the recent controversy caused by the “Taking the Offensive” article that ran in issue 378 (April) and the responses in issue 379 (May).
