For some time now, I have admired Alyssa’s work as a cartographer of fantasy maps. It came as a delightful surprise during my research to discover that we have so much more in common than just our relatively esoteric interest in maps, as she is also a historical wargamer, a miniatures painter, a terrain maker, a military history aficionado, a social media addict AND now runs her own Patreon gig!
Conquering the trans-Atlantic time zones, we linked up Hove in Sussex with Portland in Oregon and spent a chatty hour and three quarters discussing all manner of things, and like all the best discussions, left a few things that we would like to talk about in more detail for another podcast in the future!
But this podcast certainly serves as a good introduction for those of you who may not have encountered Alyssa before. She is a hugely talented and knowledgeable individual, and her skills are even more impressive when you realise that she is entirely self-taught.
So sit back, relax and enjoy the chat!
Henry
P.S. Battlechat is now topped and tailed by new theme music. I hope you like it.
