On 18th June 1998 – Waterloo Day – I launched the very first version of the Battlegames website to try out what were then cutting-edge web design techniques to show off to potential clients. Who knew what that would lead to!
More than two decades on, after launching Battlegames as a magazine in 2006, which was then bought by Atlantic Publishers in 2011, then merged with Miniature Wargames in 2013, and then sold to Warners in 2015 before I decided to move in in 2016, the name still proudly lives on in a return to the digital environment it started in.
I’m incredibly grateful for all the support you have shown me over more than two decades, and thankful that your generosity is enabling me to continue as a voice in the hobby via my blog posts, Battlechat podcasts and more.
If you’re not joining in already, you can start with just $1 a month, with special privileges available starting at just $2.50 a month. And the fun part is, you become part of my journey, helping me to decide what to create as we explore the wonderful world of wargaming.
Here’s to the next 21 years!
Henry
