Battlechat 97 with Howard Whitehouse

At last! I finally managed to get to chat with the legendary Howard Whitehouse, so grab your paintbrushes or a beverage of your choice, sit back, relax and prepare to be entertained by one of the hobby’s larger-than-life characters.

Howard has been in the hobby for a long time, is himself a member of the HMGS Legion of Honor and is best known for his tongue-in-cheek rulesets and his irreverent games at shows, often accompanied by gales of laughter. Get ready to hear, for example, about Phil Barker being stabbed to death at Historicon!

But don’t be fooled: whilst the outward appearance of Howard’s hobby may often be comedic, he is also a highly intelligent and talented man who has done his research and earned his hobby stripes back in the old days playing some pretty serious games.

As well as being a wargamer, this polymath is also a novelist, a musician and a raconteur par excellence. I had great fun interviewing him and I hope you enjoy listening in.
